FAQs
Get the most out of your tanning experience with these easy prep tips. Whether you’re stepping into a tanning bed or getting a custom spray tan, following these guidelines will ensure a flawless, long-lasting glow.
What to Do Before Your Tanning Bed Session:
Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate your skin the day before your session to remove dead skin cells. This helps your tan develop evenly.
Moisturize: Keep your skin hydrated, but avoid lotions on the day of your session, especially right before. Lotions can act as a barrier to the UV rays.
Skip the Makeup & Perfume: Remove all makeup, perfumes, and deodorant before tanning. These can interfere with the tanning process.
Wear Loose Clothing: After your session, opt for loose, dark clothing to avoid rubbing your skin and to prevent any color transfer.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and after your tanning session to keep your skin healthy and hydrated.
What to Do Before Your Spray Tan:
Exfoliate & Shave: The day before your spray tan, exfoliate thoroughly and shave or wax any areas you want to be smooth. This helps ensure your tan goes on evenly.
Avoid Lotions, Oils, and Deodorant: On the day of your spray tan, avoid using lotions, oils, deodorants, or makeup. These products can block the tan from absorbing properly.
Wear Loose, Dark Clothing: After your spray tan, wear loose, dark-colored clothing to prevent rubbing and color transfer. Tight clothes can cause streaks!
Skip the Showers: Wait at least 8-12 hours before showering or sweating after your spray tan to allow the color to fully develop. We recommend an evening appointment for best results.
Moisturize After 24 Hours: Once your tan has set, keep your skin moisturized daily to help extend the life of your tan.
